How to read the example
225 is the nominal width in millimeters. 65 is the aspect ratio. R indicates radial construction. 17 is the wheel diameter in inches.
Copy the entire sequence exactly. Commercial and equipment tires may use a different format. If you are uncertain, call and describe the vehicle and tire.
Do not stand in moving traffic to inspect a tire. Check only from a safe location.
